All veggies and no wine making for dull farmers, a group of us headed down to TH Wines in Summerland yesterday to help with some wine bottling. We learned that lots of Okanagan wineries, Tyler's included, don't own their own fancy bottling equipment because economics, Jordan, economics. Instead, they bring in a mobile unit to make the magic happen.

Just about everytyhing happened on the trailer. My job as Dumper was to dump cases of empty bottles into a loud, angry machine whose hunger for glass was insatiable. I called it Kit because of my affection for Night Rider. I left having really enjoyed my role so when I got home I got online to find out more about the Dumper lifestyle by googling that term. Turns out the profession has a dark side.
